Bonjour à tous!!!
Donc, cette semaine...oh la! C'était trop compliqué!! So, basically
this week was weird. Just plain weird. Last week we were on lockdown
from Sunday to Tuesday. We were so stir crazy! We had the last JA
soirée on Tuesday night with all the missionaries leaving and with all
the craziness going on in Belgium; we found out that all Belgium
elders would be going to Namur or Liège, and all Belgium soeurs would
be staying in France. So, on transfer day we woke up freakishly early
and our train got in late. So me and Elder Palfreyman booked it to St.
merri for the trainer meeting. (It was crazy though because of all
the new security they have after what happened. We had to open up
suitcases and bags to get through and it took forever to finally get
there!) anyways we got spiritual enlightenment and the bleu's came in.
Mine was the first one presented. I could tell which one was mine
because of how tiny she is. Her name is Soeur Clain and she is from
L'ile de la réunion. Right next to Madagascar. She is a visa waiter
but actually did two years of studies in france before so she came
straight here from the south of France. I now have two daughters from
the south! She is gonna be heading to Cleveland Ohio after this and we
actually don't know how long she will be staying. She is a francophone
but speaks English real well. She is my personal French teacher. How
did I get so lucky? It was kinda crazy though. We went straight from
St. merri to Versailles because we couldn't go to Liège. So, we spent
three days plus thanksgiving with the Versailles soeurs. We actually
got to see the temple and Chateau of Versailles. We just did a whole
bunch of contacting since didn't know exactly where to go. I can know
say that I have he Versailles bus system figured out! Holla! For
thanksgiving we ate a beet salad and a baguette and potatoes between
us and Soeur Walton and Soeur Woolley. It was fun! Made for some good
memories. I got some pics but they are on my camera and not the iPad.
I will try and get more next week. Then Saturday we got back to Liège.
Our week has been pretty crazy! I'm sorry I don't have more time to
talk about it!! Next week I will try and do emails through the week.
We were gone all day today on a Redd adventure with Elder and Soeur
Redd to see a few chateaus but we don't have much time for emails I'm
sorry. We have to leave for soirée with the elders. We are really
busy. I'm a little stressed but we are hangin in there. I love you all
and hope you have a great week!
