Bonjour a tous!:) Wow....so, apparently we are done with February....and onto March...super CRAZY!!! Well....this week has been a long and eventful one! Soeur Clark and I celebrated her 5 month mark yesterday by giving a nice polish-man a Book of Mormon. Haha it was awesome! We were riding the metro on the way to church...and I was just like standing there and smiled at this nice guy that was sitting across from us...and all of the sudden he was like: "Do you speak English?" and I was like "Yeah, we do!" Well long story short...his name was Bart from Poland and he ended up asking about our plaques and if we were volunteers. So, we spent the whole metro ride talking to him about why we are here. He thought it was super cool that we were from the United States and he seemed really interested. It was pretty cool because we actually had a spare Polish Book of Mormon in our bags for another ami that was supposed to be coming to church...and we were just like "We actually have a spare book here for you in Polish about what we believe...would you be interested in reading it?" And he got all excited and was like..."Yeah, I totally need another book to read!" Haha so that was an awesome start to our Sunday morning:) And then we actually contacted a lady the other night, I would tell you her name but she is from La Georgie (Georgia)--like the country, not the state--so it was a really pretty name but not one that you hear everyday. Anyways, we were walking down the rue and I stopped to talk to her and she seemed really surprised at first, but we talked to her for awhile...We found out that her family is all baptist but she told us that she respects all other religions too. And we kind of used the articles of faith to describe to her what we believe...and after talking with her for a bit she told us that she liked the baptist church...but it didn't answer all of her questions and she said she might be interested in giving our church a try! AHHHHHHHH do you know how awesome that is??!!!!! I was having like a mini-fiesta on the inside of my body. And then she told us that she was really grateful that we stopped to talk to her:) It was pretty sweet! Sorry I am kind of jumbled in my head today....I am trying to figure out how to type on a french keyboard and it is making my life a little bit crazy so I am jumping around a lot....sorry about that! Anyways...after that, our night got really crazy because we ended up getting followed by crazy muslim man. He actually contacted us and we tried to lose him but he followed us around for awhile last night. But that's normal stuff for a little sister missionary I guess:) I am proud to say that I have memorized all of "I am a Child of God" in French and I have almost memorized the young women's theme too! I think the Ward members here in Lille know who I am because the other day when I was walking down the hall of the church...the greffier stopped and said: "Soeur Nelson! J'ai une ami qui avez 5 pieds juste comme vous!!"---(I have an friend that is 5 feet just like you!!!) And then he went on to tell me about how every time he sees them, he always thinks of Soeur Nelson:) Haha! I am glad that people won't forget me...the shortest missionary! Well...I am sorry this is so short....we have to run....but I wanted to share a favorite scripture with you all....it's in Alma 5:14----"Et maintenant, voici, je vous demande, mes frères de l'Eglise, êtes-vous nés spirituellement de Dieu? Votre visage est-il empreint de son image? Avez-vous éprouvé ce grand changement dans votre coeur?" Just a reminder that I know that February is not over...but we should all still have the desire to turn our heart to Christ....and when we do, when we read this scripture...we will be able to say that we can have His image in our countenance....and that should be the desires of all of our hearts. I love you all and I am truly grateful for all of your examples! I hope you all have a great week!!! Love you! XOXOXOXO Bisous, Soeur Nelson
