Bonjour a tous!
Donc le premier chose (So, first things first...).....I am SO sorry I didn't do an email last week. It was pretty crazy because Soeur Clark and I came to the church to do emails, but when we got here only 1 computer could connect to the internet. So, one of us would do an email while the other watched 17 miracles on the other. It was INSANE! It was was the only day where I actually ended up getting 33 emails. Totally sucked because I couldn't enjoy them. But that's okay.
Anyways...Transfers were good. It was really hard to leave Vannes...I have gotten super close to the ami's and members there. We have been emailing back and forth, so it has been pretty cool to keep contact with them. On transfer day, a whole bunch of missionaries ended up getting lost on the metro station at Paris Montparnasse...so, while we were trying to find them.... Soeur Clark and I ended up missing our train. So, because I was caught at one end of the gare (train station) and she was at the other waiting for me...we had to change our train tickets seperately, and we ended up getting two different train times! I left an hour before her and had to ride the train by myself...while she was babysat by a few elders. It was really weird being all by myself on the train after being with someone 24/7 for 7 months! I think I have hit the awkward missionary mode....ahhhhh!
Lille is huge compared to Vannes! The members here are awesome and have been very welcoming:) I introduced myself in sacrament meeting last week, and said 'I am another missionary from Utah...but I think that I am the smallest missionary here in France!' Everyone in the congregation got a hoot outta that:) And yesterday, I gave my first talk in Sacrament....two sundays in a row! The good news is...I didn't throw up:)We also had our exchanges this past week...it was pretty fun. I got to go to Belgium with Soeur Neilson. We walked around contacting saying..."hi I am Soeur Neilson...and this is my companion Soeur Nelson!":) Haha...all the people were kind of confused. One of my favorite exchanges so far!
So, this past week was Valentine's...I hope you all had a wonderful love-filled day:) Soeur Clark and I spent the day doing some pass-by's and visiting some moin actif's. We spent saturday night with some of our ami's at a Soirée Familiale (family night) and played games...and afterwards....Soeur Hawkes, Soeur Walton, Soeur Clark et moi went home for a candle-light raclette dinner!!! Haha, actually we have been planning our Valentines dinner ever since I got here. We all saved some of our money to buy meat and cheese for raclette; Soeur Hawkes and Soeur Walton bought a grape juice that was in a wine shaped bottle (like martinelli's); we sprinkled little valentine hearts all over the table that my mom sent me in a package; Soeur Clark and I bought two bars of chocolate to share for our dessert, and we all chipped in to buy some flowers for 3 euros:) It was quite the feast. We booked our dinner hour at 8 so that we could hurry and do our planning and just eat. We literally ran home from the metro! Haha...it was pretty funny to see 4 sister missionaries booking it down our rue. I think it was the best Valentine's ever!:)Well...I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far. I love you all and if there anything I can do for you...please let me know.
Love you!!!
XOXOXOXOXOXO
