Bonjour all!!!I hope you have all had a wonderful week! I feel like weeks are starting to go by a little faster and I am trying to remember all the things that we have done! They all kind of mesh together by the time sunday rolls around....last night for our phone call with our district leader Elder Erickson...he asked me what we had done this past week....and I was stumped because there were so many things! So I listed off all the things that I could remember off the top of my head....this is what I said:
"We ate 2 baguettes...got second-hand smoke waiting for a bus with a whole bunch of scary-looking teenagers....almost got robbed by a little gypsy girl while buying pictures...got let into an apartment and within 5 minutes got kicked out because the people inside realized too late who we were...taught primary...learned how to make cigarettes (tried to share word of wisdom), and walked through a windstorm..." We honestly did a lot, but you can't put it all into words...needless to say, Elder Erickson was laughing pretty hard at the other end of the line. Psssh! Elders:)
Yeah, so like I said...yesterday, Soeur Clark and I taught le Primaire at church. We taught all about Prophets and why we have them. It was so fun! We played a game with pictures of the prophets and the name to match...and all the kids had to figure out which one went with which. And then we had an object lesson where we hid a picture of the prophet in the room and picked one little boy to guide one of his friends to the picture...but we had all the other kids distracting him and pulling him away from the picture. Yeah, I'm not explaining it very well...but the point was to follow the prophet's voice and when we do...we can receive wonderful blessings and guidance in our life. I'd say it was a success:)
We also had our exchanges this past week...we live with the STL's now...so, we didn't have to go too far:) I went with Soeur Neilson again...haha, we acutally contacted a lady named Irene by the metro and she thought it was SO funny that are names were so similar but we weren't from the same family...when I called her to set up a rendevous during weekly planning....she recognized my voice and before I hung up said: "Oh et Nelson dit 'Bonjour' a Neilson pour moi d'accord?" (Nelson, say hello to Neilson for me okay?) She was so funny! We had a lot of fun together:)
We have been trying to keep teaching Cameron this week...her family is still having a tough time, so we haven't had a lot of time with her...we are hoping to see her more this week. If you could keep her in your prayers that would be wonderful!
I am really looking forward to General Conference next week...hopefully I can understand more french than 6 months ago:) We have been inviting all our ami's to write down some questions because I know at least for me...Conference is like a "Life for Dummies" book...it has all the answers, we just have to be willing to look.
Well....I hope you all have a wonderful week. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for all your love and support. I miss you like crazy! Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. You know where to find me!!! Love ya!
