Bonjour à tous!
So...yesterday was Mother's Day!!!!! Happy late Mother's day to everyone around. I got to spend the afternoon staring at the faces of my wonderful family...which was awesome! We got to go over to a the Menendez family's apartment and eat lasagna. They actually kind of freaked us out though because once we got to their apartment....they thought it would be funny to say that their internet wasn't working...Soeur Back and I almost peed our skirts! It wasn't so much the fact that we wouldn't be able to talk to our families but we both knew that our moms would be freaking out! Haha, but once we realized he was joking....it was funny.Well, I won't say too much because I pretty much said it all yesterday. But this past week was a good one! Soeur Back and I made the goal to teach 21 lessons throughout the week....we worked our butts off!!! We got to 17 by last night and we were both kind of bummed that we didn't make it all the way, but we are gonna shoot to overpass that number next week. It was really cool because both our District Leader and the STL's called us after we sent in our stats and they were super excited because the numbers for our zone haven't been that high in a long time. It was really cool! We also ended up finding a new ami!! We ported into her last Sunday night...her name is Elodie. She had on some classy big bunny slippers and Ray Ban glasses....we ended up talking to her for awhile at her door and she invited us back the prochain (next) Wednesday. So, I got to go back on my exchange with Soeur McOmber and teach her. It was pretty cool though because, before Soeur Back and I left her house....we gave her a "Le Retablissement" (the restoration) brochure....and when I went back with Soeur McOmber....we followed-up on it, and Elodie said that she read the whole brochure and she was really curious so she looked up our church website on the internet.....haha, needless to say Soeur McOmber and I sat there for a full 2 minutes with our mouths open before we could answer. C'etait trés merveilleuse! (It was marvelous!) We got to teach her the 1st vision and introduce Le Livre de Mormon to her. Super cool! She is solid, and we both have a really good feeling about her.Cameron is still doing good...she is kind of at a stand-still point with her family. But we are still teaching her and she is doing awesome. She and I came up with a handshake that we do now every-time before our lesson. She's Legit! Everything is going well...it is starting to get warmer here. I don't have a lot to say....but I wanted to share a funny moment from my exchange with Soeur McOmber this past week. So, we were porting around....and it's kind of funny because some houses here when you ring their door-bell, they have like a song play instead of a bell ring. Like there is this really cool one that plays "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid (it's fun just to port to get to listen to it!)....mais oui; so we rang at this one house....and this fun tune started to play, and you like couldn't help but dance to it....we stood there forever waiting for someone to answer; but while waiting Soeur McOmber and I started dancing and we even did a little part of the Macarena (spell-check?) dance. There we were, just 2 sister missionaries dancing to the chant of a doorbell...It was pretty funny. But what was even funnier was the fact that after we finished dancing a man came to the door and said..."Oh la la, quelle dance!" (What a dance!) Soeur McOmber and I were so embarrassed! It was SO funny!! And that is missionary work done right!;) Haha!Well...I am sorry this email is kind of lame. I don't have too much to say today. I love you all and I hope you have a wonderful week! Thank you for all your love and support! Love you!!! Avec grande amour, XOXOXOXO Bisous, Soeur Nelson
