Bonjour ma famille et mes ami's....J'éspére que vous allez bien!So...next week is Christmas.....ahhhhhh, that's super crazy!!! I'm sorry I don't have much time again today. But I do want to share some really cool stuff happened...
So....Wednesday...Soeur Ficquet and I got another Soeur here in Vannes....Soeur Addison Tippett. She is from Georgia and we absolutely love her! It's super crazy have the 3 of us in our tiny little apartment. But we are having a lot of fun! But anyways...Friday as we were walking back home from a pass-back...we were talking and asking Soeur Ficquet a question about French in English...and we had this guy right in front of us stop and turn around, and he was like: "You speak English?!" And we were like "um...yeah?" Anyways, long story short...he ended up being from Congo! And he thought it was SUPER cool that we spoke English here in France and then when he found out that 2 of us were American, he started asking us about the church and we ended up getting his number and he even stopped to pray with us. It was pretty awesome! And yesterday...we had one of our ami's named Anita receive a priesthood blessing from the Branch President...and is was a really cool experience because Anita doesn't have any family here in Vannes so she just had us in the room for the blessing. And it was completely in French! Ah, it was SOOOO cool! I didn't understand most of the blessing but man, it was powerful. I could still feel the spirit and it was amazing. After church...all three of us got invited over to a Thizon's house for lunch and we ate Raclette. They used this uber cool machine that heated up cheese and then Frère Thizon would scrape a strip of melted cheese onto a whole bunch of random stuff. It was super good! We also got the chance to share the Mormon message video called "He is the Gift" a lot this week. If you haven't seen it...I really recommend it! All the missionaries world-wide are sharing it. It talks all about John 3:16 and the TRUE meaning of Christmas. I know for me...Christmas is a time where I like to spend with my family and celebrate the naissance (birth) du Jesus-Christ. But this video made me reflect so much more about what Christmas means to me. This year as a missionary...my testimony has grown so much on my Savior. Cette video c'est une rappel pour moi qu'il est la premier cadeau de Noël and il me donner beaucoup de joie et paix dans ma vie.....j'ai une grande temoinage de mon sauveur. (this video is a reminder to me that He is the first Christmas Gift and He has given me so much joy and peace in my life. I have a profound testimony of my Savior)...I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to share this message with the people of France. I am loving the time that I have to celebrate Christmas with my two companions Soeur Tippett and Soeur Ficquet here in Vannes with all the awesome members. I hope this year for Christmas, all of us can remember the true meaning of Christmas and find a way to keep Christ in our lives. I love you all and I am extremely grateful for all the love and support you give to me. Thank you for everything!! I hope you have a wonderful week full of blessings! I love you!
