Bonjour family and friends!
First off...I am SOOOOO sorry about last weeks email. Honestly, I was completely miserable! I was sick at home all week in our apartment and did not get to leave once besides trying to send emails on my i-pad (which didn't work), going to a crazy french doctor and leaving for 2 rendevous. Basically...it was just an awful week! I was shaking so bad with a bad sinus infection mixed with flu-like symptoms. I slept pretty much all day, up til Thursday when the Bureau scheduled a doctor's appointment for me. The crazy french Doctor that I ended up seeing was seriously insane...but he could tell that I was in pretty bad shape. When we walked into the appointment, he gave me a paper and said, "I'm going to need all your information with your birthdate and everything...." and I just looked at the paper and back to him and asked, "Wait, what is the date today?"....He looked at Soeur Ellis and was like, 'Man, she's not doing well is she?'.....yeah, 15 minutes later we walked out of the building with 7 medicine prescriptions....I've been hopped up on drugs for the past 5 days! The medicine they gave me ends up making me a little loopy though. Makes for some pretty interesting rendevous:) I've been having a tough time keeping up with food too. I have been throwing up everything I try to eat and just can't quite seem to keep anything down. I have lost around 12 lbs...but I am doing a lot better now. The elders were nice enough to come by with a member and give me a quick blessing. So, I am on the mend:)
Basically we have only had a few rendevous to report on. We met with one of our Less actives named Ali...we were able to teach him at the visitor's center with a member...and ended up talking for a long time about the Temple and how it is always super important to have goals in our lives but remembering to make sure the goals we set will bring us eternal happiness. It was really awesome to be able to testify of the miracles and the joys of the temple. That is one of the main things that I have really missed since I have been on my mission. I cannot wait to go back first thing when I get home!
We also had another rendevous with Casemira and her 4 daughters last night. We started off telling her that we couldn't stay very long because I had just taken some medicine and I was already starting to zone out of it...but she kept talking with us for over 2 hours and prepared a big full french course of food. Heavenly Father sure was listening to my prayers because I don't know how the heck I made it through that meal without throwing up! After we left...it was déja vu of my première mangevous...I was moving my little body so slow because it had been forever since I had eaten that much. Haha, poor Soeur Ellis could tell that I was in pain.
Well...we have zone conference again this week. I will get to see Soeur Bell and a whole bunch of other missionaries. Should make for a good time! I promise to be better about emails next week...I'm sorry, this week was kind of a bummer one again. There wasn't too much to report on. I sure love you all and hope you have a fabulous week!!!!
Je vous aime!
XOXOXOXOXO

I would send a picture of this past week...but honestly, you don't want to see how bad I looked. If you're really dying to know....look up the t.v. show THE WALKING DEAD....that should give you a pretty great idea:) Love ya!
