Bonjour a tous!!!!
Hey I am sorry that I didn't write yesterday; we had the conference in Versailles for i-pads, and so our P-day got changed to today. The repertoire came out on Saturday...we found out that Soeur Clark is gonna be transferred to Arras-like 20 minutes from Lille...and I will be staying here and getting a new companion. We're still gonna be in the same stake for conferences so, we are excited about that:) My new companion is named Soeur Back...she is from Salt Lake City! Kind of funny because she was actually in Rennes when I was in Vannes, so I would see her every Tuesday and when I left I had her write in my Soeur book...and she said: "Soeur Nelson...I'm gonna keep this short and only do Part I because I know that one day you and I will serve together and one day we will have all these inside jokes and memories and I will be able to write Part II...", she wrote a whole bunch of other stuff too, but I thought it was super funny when I went back to read that after I saw the repertoire. She is super cute and I am really excited to work with her this next transfer!
Yeah, so yesterday we had to catch a train at 7h00...all the missionaries from our zone were on the same train, so it was pretty crazy. When we finally got into the gare in Paris...the ZL's hadn't bought enough T-tickets for everyone to get on the RER that we needed...they only had enough for us and the STL's. So, the four of us were running through the Paris gare to make our RER that was supposed to leave 4 minutes later. The other three soeurs were taking the stairs 3 at a time (I don't know how they can do that in a skirt...) and then there was little ol' me, scurrying through. We were all slipping on the floor trying to swerve around people...it was pretty crazy! Needless to say we made it...and it took everything in me not to pass out!
It was so fun to see all the other missionaries!!! I think I was more excited to see them than to get an actual i-pad! The conference was good though. Elder Nielson from the Seventy spoke along with Elder Kearon from the Europe area Presidency. They talked a lot about not seeing ourselves as the world views us, and how the decisions that we make here aren't just for us but will also bless our future generations. (Alma 62:41) I really loved it! My emails don't do it justice but it was awesome!
I also have been emailing Julie, one of my ami's from Vannes...she has beeing emailing me every week since I left. She just told me today that she is seriously considering baptism!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I was seriously doing cartwheels in the church when I read her email! It has been so amazing to stay in contact with all those who I worked with back in Vannes. I love knowing that they are still progressing even though I had to leave. It seriously the best thing!
Well...transfers are tomorrow...I am sad to say good-bye to Soeur Clark, but I know she will be awesome in Arras. I love you all and I hope you have a fantastic week! Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.
Bisous
