My companion and I are doing awesome! We have made it a goal to stay positive and just try and be better than we were the day before:) Last Sunday, my district sang "I know that my Redeemer Lives" in sacrament meeting. We did the first verse in English and started off kind of shaky, but by the 2nd verse, we sang in French and our voices sounded awesome. I honestly have no idea what I was saying but it sounded pretty legit!:) And then after sacrament meeting, my district decided to have our own little french testimony meeting. So, I had the opportunity to bear a small testimony in french. I made my companion cry...so I would say it was a success! #Missionaryboss
I joined the MTC choir with the other sisters in my district...it is my one of my favorite things about the MTC. I love it when the elders sing! Their voices are so strong and amazing...it's like an army! I love it!!!! A few crazy things that happened to me this week: I got into trouble for calling an elder "dude"...a temple worker talked to me for at least 5 minutes just saying that I am the tiniest missionary she has ever seen...I did yoga with Soeur Erickson from my district, and found out how NOT to move my body...so yeah, that's me! I had the opportunity of getting my first priesthood blessing from an elder in my district. I got super sick this last week, and Elder Walker volunteered to give his first blessing on me. That was an experience that I will never forget! I loved watching all my fellow elders stand up to put their hands on my head. In the blessing Elder Walker said that there was someone in France that needed my spirit:) That is something that I keep reminding myself on a daily basis when I feel like quitting. It's true what they say about a mission; 'Each day feels like a week, but each week feels like a day'. Some days are harder than others, and there are a lot of days where I wish I could have an english speaking mission. But I know that I'm going to France for a reason. I love you ALL and can't wait to hear from you again!!!!
