Bonjour Family et friends!
So...this past week was one of the best!! The repertoire came out and turns out Soeur Clark and I will be spending another 6 weeks together! Yay! They are actually white-washing out the other two soeurs and making it into a STL apartment. So, the two of us are gonna be living with the STL's....oh no! Haha! Soeur Hawkes is gonna be heading home and Soeur Walton is heading off to Liége. We all four spent our last p-day together in the park with some macaroon's....I will post some pictures below:) Haha...yesterday at church, Bishop Doit came up to me and shook my hand and said: "Soeur Nelson, j'aime beaucoup quand je peut vous voir, parce que vous m'rappeler de ma mere..."(pretty much I remind him of his mom)...and I gave him this weird look....and he laughed and said: "Parce que vous etes le meme taille!"...(because we are the same size:) Haha! I was like oh my gosh...now the bishop is never gonna forget me because I remind him of his mom! Haha I was pretty much dying all through Sacrament!:)
I had the coolest thing happen on Friday....we taught a girl named Amina; it was an awesome lesson Soeur Clark and I went contacting with one of our members named Tracy, and we decided to stop by her 9 year old cousin Cameron's house, who used to be one of our ami's. So, we went by and ended up teaching her the first lesson...her mom isn't really interested but likes us to teach her. And it was super cool because as we were sitting there, I got the impression to ask Cameron if she would be baptized...and I was like freaking out in my head and kept telling myself no. It was kind of like that moment in the movie Tangles where Rapunzel is fighting with herself about going back to her tower....well anyways, as I was sitting there I said a little prayer to Heavenly Father so that I could have the power to say what I needed to say to Cameron...and right afterwards my mouth flew open and I asked her to be baptized! Everybody just kind of sat there for a minute...and Cameron looked at me and said "oui"....OH MY GOSH SHE SAID YES!!!!!!! We set a baptismal date with a 9 year old and she said yes! Oh man, it was awesome! We are planning to have her baptism on the 28th of this month....hopefully everything works out. She loves the church and is so excited! She was asking me if it would be okay to invite her friends from school to her baptism! And I was just like in awe...I love her! I think she will be the miracle for Soeur Clark and I!:)I also ended cutting Soeur Walton and Soeur Clark's hair this week....I think these Soeurs trust me too much! Ahhh....let's just say I was saying a lot of prayers this week;)Here is a little quote that I loved and wanted to share with you this week...."Courage is not the absence of fear...but the mastery of it." Remember that with God all things are possible...just say a little prayer and you will find that you are never ever alone. That is one thing that I have come to find on my mission....God will never give us more than we can handle! I love you all and I hope you have a fantastic week! If you ever need anything...you know where to find me!
